Count your BLESSINGS

Today I had my 6 week check up after I had Cora. My Doctor came in and sat down next to me and said "Shelbi now that I know that everything is OK with you and Cora I want to tell you something" He said "your daughter is a MIRACLE baby!! he said that my delivery was one of the scariest deliveries that he has ever done. He said that on paper things didn't look that bad, but he had such a bad feeling about everything and said that he had such a strong feeling that he just needed to get the baby out. He told me that if he would not have delivered the baby that night, the next morning I would have delivered a still born...there were a few other things that he did that he said he never does but was so inspired that he needed to do them. He told me that Heavenly Father really wanted me to have this baby and it was him telling him the things he needed to do. He said that he didn't know if I would be able to have more children because he thinks the miscarriages and Cora's birth have something to do with each other, and if I was to get pregnant that it would be very high risk. After knowing all of that...I am SO GRATEFUL that I had him as a DR. he was so inspired to know what to do and I will FOREVER be grateful for him. I am also SO thank full to my Heavenly Father that he has blessed me with 2 beautiful girls, and that he inspired all the right people (Dr. Holmes and the nurse) to get Cora out. I had no idea that things were that scary. Honestly...I am so glad I did not know that until now!!!!

That's amazing. I am so glad that everything turned out for the best! She is soooooo cute and I can't wait until her and Ashlee are old enough to play and brag about being in the NICU at the same time. Ü By the way, what does she wear? Cuz she is like 2 lbs smaller than Ashlee and some Premie stuff is still too big for her!!

wow that gave me goose bumps.. not many doctors that would be like that... most doctors never seem to take as much interest even when you tell them yourself that you think something is wrong. - That is awesome and I am SO glad you have your two beautiful girls! What a blessing! -

Hey Shelbi! Had to say that I agree that Dr. Holmes is the BEST doctor! If it were not for him we wouldnt have our new little one. I love how he is not afraid to share his spiritual thoughts and feelings and I know that it gave me peace of mind many times during my prenancy! We will have to chat sometime! -Shiloh
